I wanted to shoot you all a quick update regarding the upcoming Easter Weekend and Ladies Apologetics Seminar Heather is leading and The Christian Dads Workshop that took place in the middle of March. First off though, thank you so much for your prayer for the Spring Break trip we were able to take as a family. It was so refreshing on so many levels and we made some incredible memories together. We are grateful and praise the Lord for the chance to get away. At the same time, we were excited to get back and get back to work where God has us.
Upcoming Easter Weekend
Just as I am sure your church is preparing for Easter, we are preparing for Easter here. Based on the location of our church being in the midst of a large neighborhood in Strongsville, we want to really take seriously our responsibility to make the Gospel accessible to every man, woman and child in our neighborhood. In that vein, 5 teams of people made up of adults and kids and youth went out this past Sunday afternoon to take invitations to homes in our church neighborhood. You can take a look at the map below to see the highlighted streets we were able to cover in the 2 hours we were out: 180 or so homes. We had 500 invitations printed and do not want to have any left so we plan to go out again this coming Sunday afternoon, weather permitting. Our people here at the church have been challenged to hand out at least 2 invitations each to those in their sphere of influence that they know need Christ or are not attending church or are not attending a church that proclaims the truth of God’s Word.
If you think about it, please pray for those invitations that are going out and for what happens here Easter Weekend.
Upcoming Apologetics Seminar
Heather is passionate about helping Christians, specifically Christian women become inspectors of culture so that they can navigate this broken world in such a way as to enjoy God and make the name of Jesus famous for all the right reasons in all facets of their lives. Heather is planning to lead a seminar on that very thing here at our church on Saturday, May 10th. We are still working all the details but I will certainly get you information when we have it all set.
Christian Dads Workshop
Thank you for praying for the Christian Dads Workshop! God moved! 21 Christian Dads came out (28 were registered) to this free event as we focused in on what it looked like to take seriously leading your family spiritually. I am passionate about this and am so excited to see how this affects those 21 families! To God be the glory! You can find a picture of the event below.
