Ladies,

As promised, here is the email you've been waiting for... it's long, so settle into your seat :)

I'll say it again (and probably again) we are thrilled to welcome you to the Junior League of Austin! I wanted to share a quick intro about me!

I'm entering my 10th year in JLA. I joined as a newlywed, busy high school teacher w/lots of extra curricular duties, and SURPRISE expecting our first son. I am pretty type A- I love checking things off a list and getting them done sooner rather than later. I share all of this because I know some parts of it identify with many of you (particularly the ones who have already reached out). I want to reassure you all that you will be just fine! We will get you through the year with everything completed. It may not be on our usual overachiever timeline- but as long as you are "in it to win it" I promise you will cross the finish line. One day you might even end up where I am- mentoring a group of fabulous Provisionals through their first year! The league will give you many growth opportunities- and, if you are like me, it will begin with patience in your Provisional year :)

I was able to get a list of everyone who made partial payments and have contacted you by phone or email to let you know next steps. If you were not contacted- you should be squared away- yay!

As mentioned, the league is quiet during the Summer- so enjoy!

Your Provisional contract holds all of your Provisional requirements. As a recap:

*While our General Meetings are moving to a hybrid format, Provisional meetings are intended to be in person. Building your JLA community is one of the pillars of Provisional year and its imperative that we meet in person in accordance with CDC guidelines.

Please get these dates on your calendar ASAP. It is a requirement to attend at least six of these meetings. If you're able to, I encourage you to attend more than six. Each meeting has a curriculum designed to introduce you to the League and allow you to get to know your fellow members better.

Our fantastic tech gal, Alice, will be pulling the final list of Provisionals and the committee will be working to get you all into your teams by the beginning of August. Please keep your personal information updated in your member homepage throughout your league career- I personally use the member directory often- having your info current is beneficial to all. We'll introduce you to your Team Lead soon and she will serve as your main point of contact. I'm always here to answer questions as well, but do keep in mind that there are more than 160 of you, so please be patient with me and try your Team Leader first once you have her contact info.

HOMEWORK: log into Digital Cheetah and begin to familiarize yourself with the website. You will use Digital Cheetah throughout your League career. You should have received login info with your membership acceptance (check your email). I encourage you to add your photo to your profile (please use a headshot type photo, with you as the only person) and to click on "subscribe to monthly updates." You can also find an email record, which is a great resource.

I will be in touch as needed this Summer! Please feel free to reach out to me directly if you have any pressing concerns. I will be adventuring with my three sons in various capacities- so, please be patient if it takes a minute to respond.

I am filled with anticipation for August and can hardly wait for all of the fun and memories ahead!
