Today marks #WorldBipolarDay, observed every year on the 30th of March to raise awareness and eliminate the stigma associated with Bipolar Disorder. It is a day to promote education and understanding of Bipolar Disorder and encourage those who live with Bipolar Disorder to seek help and support.
It is also an opportunity for family members and loved ones of those living with Bipolar Disorder to find out more about the Disorder and how they can support their loved ones.
Bipolar Disorder Affects Over 60 Million People Worldwide.
World Bipolar Day’s ultimate goal is to inspire a global shift in thinking that will eliminate social stigma and promote acceptance.

Debunking Bipolar Disorder Myths - Friday 31 March @1pm
Bipolar Disorder is a mood disorder that is characterised by extreme shifts in mood, energy, and activity levels.
There are often a lot of inaccurate myths that surround Bipolar Disorder, that prevent people from seeking help and support. Tomorrow afternoon at 1 PM we will be debunking these myths and other FAQs with our guests Dr Kobus Roux (Psychiatrist) and Mogamad Nackerdien (SADAG Bipolar Support Group Leader).
