Thank you for your faithful love, prayer and support of Heather and I and our kids. We are so grateful! As we move into the fall, I wanted to give you an update of how we are doing and how things are going up in Strongsville and with our family.
Summer 2024
The summer was filled with Skyview Ranch in Millersburg. Our FBCS and Youth attended their respective weeks and then I was given the chance to be the speaker for one of the Senior High weeks. During the weeks we were not at Skyview, our church focused in our Summer of Prayer through prayer walks, Worship and Prayer Nights, and praying daily for a different focus each month. We had the chance to serve in booths at a couple of Strongsville's summer events. We got connected to Strongsville’s Food Bank. We held VBS where we saw 30+ kids join us. We played kickball, softball, mini-golfed, shared meals. It was a great summer.
You can find pictures of a lot of this on our website. Just click here.
Fall 2024
As we start into the fall, we are playing flag football on Thursday nights in September, our FBCS Kids Word of Life Wednesday night kids program starting up September 11, we’ll be prayer walking and having Worship and Prayer Nights, serving in Strongsville and Cleveland and focusing in on some special emphasis days.
What we are praising the Lord for:
• We are praising the Lord for Jordan and his son Owen deciding to follow Jesus this summer. Please pray for them as they take steps of faith and grow.
• We praise the Lord for the guests He continues to bring us.
• We praise the Lord for connection with local schools and the chance to serve them
• We praise the Lord for the faithfulness of the people that are here and the overall sense of optimism there is in the church
What we are asking the Lord for help with:
• Boldness yet winsomeness with the Gospel and truth of God's Word for me and my family and the people of the church
• A plan and the finances for our building as it in ok condition but needs a lot of work
• Organization within the church as we rework the constitution and get everyone on the same page
• The technology that we have and utilize at the church for sound and media that has been giving us a bunch of issues lately
Our Family
Overall as a family, we are doing well. We praise the Lord for His care for us. Heather has started back to work at Medina Christian Academy as a Lunch Lady and our our kids has all started back to school as well. Our summer really revolved around what was happening at the church (even to the point of Sawyer and Hudson joining me and a few others to help cut grass at the church on Thursday mornings :)) yet we did get good time to be together as a family.
We are asking the Lord to help us with a couple specific things. If you think of us and can join us in prayer, we would greatly appreciate it.
1. We know there will be some financial support dropping off at the start of 2025 so I am looking to raise more financial support for our family. If you have connections I could contact, please let me know.
2. We need to figure out something with our vehicles - our car (2009 Ford Focus w/ 148,000 miles on it) has been more reliable as of late than our van (2013 Dodge Caravan w/ 98,000 miles on it).
Thank you again for your love, prayer and support. We are truly grateful for each of you!
If you ever have any questions or if there is anything we can do for you, please let us know!
Grace and peace,
Steve Lytle
