In this email you will find new and up to date information regarding the 8th Grade confirmation Retreat. Please make sure to take a look at the Updated Registration Guide in section one.
I hope that this will help to clarify, and the retreat registration issues that you may be having.
You’ll also find, additional information in this email below, that you should have already received regarding our Confirmation program for the year.

1. 8th Grade Damascus Confirmation Retreat
Dates: September 19–21, 2025
Departure: Friday, 4:00 PM from St. Luke
Return: Sunday, ~2:00 PM
The Damascus Retreat in Centerburg, Ohio, is a central part of preparation for Confirmation. It is a dynamic weekend of prayer, worship, and encounter with Christ.
• Registration Deadline: September 5, 2025
• PLEASE READ THE Updated Registration Guide (Click here): This is an updated Step-by-step instructions for the Damascus Confirmation Retreat Ultracamp registration. I personally tested the process and have included notes to avoid issues and allow you to complete your registration for your student. In this file there are also additional information regarding the retreat for your student.

2. Confirmation Program Calendar (8th Grade)
• September 19–21, 2025 – Damascus Retreat for 8th Graders.
• October 22, 2025 – Life Night (6:30–7:45 PM, St. Luke)
• January 21, 2026 – Life Night (6:30–7:45 PM, St. Luke)
• March 14, 2026 – Confirmation Mass, St. James Parish, 11:00 AM (Candidates & sponsors arrive by 9:45 AM for rehearsal and greeting from the bishop)

3. Program Components for our Confirmation Program
Our program prepares candidates through five key areas:
• Life Night Meetings – One meeting per semester, with teaching, prayer, and praise.
• Works of Mercy – One significant service activity in relation to the Spiritual and Corporal Works of Mercy. There are no set number of service hours.
• Spiritual Reflection – A one-page written reflection on their experience from their Works of Mercy Service.
• Sponsor Component – Sent once per year with guided activities to deepen the sponsor relationship.
• Retreat at Damascus (8th Grade Only) – The capstone retreat experience.
4. Required Parish Forms
All families must complete the following forms for sacramental records and safety:
• Confirmation Registration Form - Needs completed to assist with the sacramental registry.
• Emergency Medical Form
5. Questions or Financial Assistance
No student will be denied access to the program due to financial difficulty. If you need assistance with the retreat fee, or if you have any questions, please contact me directly.
