To our Support Family,
Greetings! Happy February to you. We are one month into the Spring Semester here at Kent State University, which means that things at H2O Kent have settled into a nice rhythm. Our Thursday Bible study groups continue to read through Ecclesiastes together, our coffee table and spiritual interest survey times give us space throughout the week to meet new people, and we as staff continue to encourage students to make time for their Creator amidst the busyness of school, work, and settling upon summer or post-graduation plans.
We also have our yearly "Manmaker" event under our belts, where almost 300 men from the various H2O churches throughout the area got together to worship the Lord, learn from teachings, and connect with each other as friends! It's so exciting to think about these college guys being envisioned to reflect the love of Jesus on their campuses! |

Finally, many of you have heard this update or seen it on social media, but we're excited to share that our daughter is here! Bea Christine is about three weeks old, and we couldn't be more in love. So far, she really enjoys being swayed around, folding her hands over her chest, and keeping her parents up at night! Thank you so much for praying for a healthy delivery- everything went so well, and Kelly is a champ! |
|
In the coming weeks, we'll have an abundance of spring events! Women's Weekend will happen next Friday in Dublin, Ohio. We'll be facilitating two Spring Break trips in the second week of March, one with a service focus in Puerto Rico, as well as a local trip focused on spiritual disciplines. We'll also host an interest meeting for students considering ministry as a career, auditions for those who might like to be a part of our worship band, and a luncheon for our graduating seniors. |

Amidst the logistics and planning of these events and our weekly ministry rhythms, we are hopeful that relationships with the Lord would be deepened! Thank you so much for your continued partnership with us, in life and in ministry, and we cannot wait to keep telling you stories from the Spring. Have a very Happy Valentine's Day! |

Prayer Requests:
- Justin and Zach, two of the guys that I meet with regularly, are wanting to go through the Book of Job together! Pray that as we wrestle with the questions presented in that book, that they would have their trust in the Lord deepened.
- As mentioned, Women's Weekend is next Friday! Pray that those in attendance would be met with the Lord's loving Voice, and that those who don't yet know Jesus might come to follow him!
- Pray that Kelly and I would continue to have grace for each other and ourselves as we learn how to care for a newborn!
