Thank you so much for prayer for me and Heather and our kids in the midst of these last few weeks. The Lord has used your emails and texts in a great way in our lives and we are grateful. Thank you! We ultimately praise the Lord for how He has worked in all that was going on.
Update on Nick:
Nick continues to do so well. He is truly a different guy. I am talking with him almost daily. We again praise the Lord for how He has worked in Nick’s life! We welcomed him back to the church this past Sunday with supervision and the difference was so noticeable! If you think about Nick, please continue to pray for Him as he moves forward in His walk with Christ.
Prayer Request:
Both of our deacons have passed away in the last couple weeks. Paul Hamm passed away June 9th unexpectedly due to cancer he had not yet even been officially diagnosed with yet causing multiple organs to shut down. Then this past Sunday night Jim McPherson, our other deacon, passed away after a long battle with cancer. These were two faithful men who served the church. Please pray for the Hamm and McPherson families and our church. This is a hard time.
Truly, in the midst of all of this, God has clearly been at work - how the church has come together to support each other, the spiritual growth that has taken place in peoples lives, the consistency of being over 50 people on a Sunday morning for the last 10 weeks, multiple people have expressed a desire to join the church, several guests have come during this time and are continuing to come and our connection with our neighborhood and community has seemed to grow. We praise the Lord for all of that!
Thank you again! If you have any questions, please let me know!

I am sorry I am just getting an email out to you.
Thank you to all of you who were praying this morning as we met with Nick. The meeting was intense in many ways but coming out of it, Nick really seems to be free. He came in dark and with his head down. He left with a different countenance and his head up. To God be the glory! Pastor Sam spent some time with him afterwards and it was good.
Thank you again for praying! You all had a part of what Christ did here this morning. If you think about Nick in the future, pray for him as he moves forward from this.
If you have any questions, please let me know.

Many of you have written me and let me know you are praying for Nick and for us. Thank you so much!
If you could be praying tomorrow - I and a few other pastors are going to meet with Nick tomorrow morning at 10am at our church. Nick really wants to go ahead with this but he is sending texts to Pastor Sam (the missionary pastor here) saying, he feels pastor Sam is going to get hurt tomorrow. We will have someone there to help assure safety.
If you could be praying during that time, that would be great. We know we have no power in and of ourselves to accomplish anything. Anything that is going to take place is going to be Christ accomplishing it. Pray for Nick to be freed in Jesus’ name. Also pray that nothing hinders Nick from coming. Please know once again that I don’t write any of this lightly at all.
If you have any questions, let me know!

I wanted to write you a quick email here.
We have a young man that started attending our church a year or so ago. As me and Sam Farlow (an older missionary pastor with ABWE that is here) have worked with him, we have understood that he has messed around with Satanism in the past.
Over the past few weeks, it has become really apparent that Satan has a real, tangible hold on this young man even to the point of the demons that hold him trying to have him kill himself and threatening me and my family lives and Pastor Sam and his wife’s life. This is real.
I do not send this email lightly at all and know that we are not taking this lightly at all. It is clear that this young man is experiencing the forces of darkness (Ephesians 6:12) but there is hope because of the blood of Jesus!
The young man’s name is Nick. Please pray for him. Please pray for Pastor Sam and his wife Darlene. Please pray for me and Heather and our kids.
If you have any questions, let me know.
We move forward in this confidence - “Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.”
Colossians 2:6-7
- And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross. He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in him.”
Colossians 2:13-15
- “Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.”
